Wartburg College Top Questions

What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

Samantha

To me the most frustrating part about my school is the price of tuition. With a whopping forty-five thousand dollar price tag, it makes attending this school a little bit frustrating due to the lack of federal and family aid.

Though I understand and respect the views of a religious college, I feel that Wartburg sometimes forced religious views upon students. This was never done outright, but in more subtle ways. A graduation requirement is to take a Religion 101 course. At first I was excited about the class because I assumed "religion" meant "world religion." However, the course focused solely on the Lutheran religion. I respect that the college is a private, religious college but was frustrated by this because it felt like they were forcing beliefs on students.

In my opinion the most frustrating thing about Wartburg is the cost. Wartburg is a liberal arts college, therefore the education is much broader than other universities, so students are paying for more education. This can be good, but since I have to pay for college by myself, it makes it harder. My parents don't give me any money to go to college. I have obtained a few loans and scholarships, but the cost is still pretty heavy; and it can be very stressful at times.

The most frustrating thing would probably be balancing all my classes and still making time for extra-curricular activities. There is a lot of work to do here, but it is also important to take time out of your schedule for outside activities.
