Weber State University Top Questions

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Makayla

I wish i had memorized the layout of the campus so i could easily navigate my way around.

Tess

I wish I would have known that the students at Weber aren't very school involved.

Stacie

How everything works. It would have been nice to know what things I needed to have completed and how to do many things including registration, ordering books, etc. It would have also been nice to know which people I needed to talk to without having to dig through all the professors online, e-mail the wrong one and have them send me to the right one.

Kimberly

You can have as much campus life as you want. The choice is up to you. If you want the full campus life experience, then choose to be involved! If you want to go to school, get an education and do you're own thing, you can do that too. There are lots of opportunities to bet involved, you just have to seek them out.

Jordan

I wish I had known I couldn't do my Graduate in Computer Science at Weber State. I love this school, so it should be quite a paradigm shift when I have to leave it to study my Graduate degree elsewhere.

Kayla

I wish I knew more about how to get involved. Weber State is a big commuter school and many people have a hard time knowing about activities to go to to meet people. I wish I payed more attention to where to go to meet people and get involved.

Benjamin

I wish I would have known how hard the classes were going to be, how expensive college was going to be, how much I would have to work to pay for school.

Kiyanna

I wish I had learned the layout of the school a little more. Depending on what classes you are taking determines where you have class (what building that class is in). If I had learned the layout of the school before I came to it I would have had a much easier time getting to class on time. On the first day of school, I didn't know the layout of the campus so I had to keep checking maps and asking for directions only to be late anyway.

Nioka

I wish I had better time management skills. I also wish that I'd known how friendly the professors were and all of the different fields of study they had available here.

Jennifer

I wish I had taken the time to do the orientation to learn more about where the buildings were, where tests were taken, etc.

Samuel

That if I had taken more AP classes in High School then I wouldn't need to pay more money to take certain classes that i could have taken in high school. Also to save as much as I could because college is expensive and if I had saved more money than i wouldn't have to reley on scolarships, working, student loans so much as i do now.

Joseph

I wish I knew more about what was required to get a bachelor's degree. Some of the credits I have may not transfer. Also, the program I'm in won't accept certain classes because they're not at a certain level (i.e. 300 level). I also wish I cleared up any outstanding issues. As a result, a miscommunication between myself and the program director, I ended up having to fly to Utah from Hawaii once a month instead of being able to move there.

Sarah

Weber has been very informative in everything before my attendance here. I have not had any issues, or concerns yet ,and hope this will stay that way.

Melissa

I knew a lot about this school before attending.

Allison

How hard some of the tests are, I am not a good testaker, I freeze and can't remember a thing on the test, so I wish I would have known that

McKenzie

The exact classes I needed to take for my prereqs. And what professors had an accent.

spencer

I will I had a little better studing habits.

Jenifer

I wish I would have come to this school from the beginning. I originally went to a large state college and had an awful experience with teachers, classes, and the overall environment. At Weber my teachers always had time for me and it was much more relaxed which helped me learn better. However, the social scene isn't as active due to the fact that many people commute to this school. I was married so the social scene wasn't really a big factor and I enjoyed attending school with people of all age ranges and life experiences.

Julia

How cold it got and how much it snowed.

Marissa

I wish I knew that there is alot of hard work and alot of work you have to do on your own.

andrea

I wish I had known more about what different programs they had to offer.
