Webster University Top Questions

When you step off campus what do you see?

Jessica

It's hard to come up with a way to title how I see Webster Groves, so the best I can do it explain it. Just off campus there are plenty of unique restaurants, clothing stores, grocery stores, craft stores, and all kinds of shops that residents set up. There are things that we all need such as grocery stores, banks, and a Target and Walmart close by, but it's the charm that is the seller. There's the local after class hangouts like Weber's, a bookstore, a natural, organic grocery store, a guitar loft and so much more. There's are also chain stores that we all know and love so much- Starbucks, McDonalds, Subway, etc

Webster University is right in the heart of an area called Webster Groves. Webster Groves is an adorable, safe, well-kept part of St. Louis. There is a grocery store, many restaurants, gas station, and several stores within walking distance, as well as parks and coffee shops to hang out at.

When leaving campus you will first of all see all of beautiful Webster Groves! Which is a beautiful community outside of the city. It is well populated but not swarming with people like the city of St. Louis. There are plenty of restaurants, and places to do things there and there is a Schnuks grocery store right outside which is quite convenient!

Webster is in the middle of a small suburban town called Webster Groves. So as soon as you get off campus, you're walking down beautiful streets with historic houses and small shops and restaurants. And, if you just hop in a car, you are just 10 minutes away from downtown St. Louis and pretty much anywhere else in the St. Louis metro area. That means that if even if not a lot is going on around campus, you have the entire city of St. Louis at your disposal!
