What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

It's not what I wish I had known about the college, because i did my research on the college, and plus my daughter has received her bachelors degree from webster university. It is that had I known that the federal government were going to implement theses drastic changes for pell recipients (July 01 2012) where instead of receiving 18 semesters worth of aid all students would recieve only 12 semesters, which put me at 12 semesters when I transfered in to webster university. I am at a serious crisis to finish paying for my undergrad studies.

I wish I would have known more about the surrounding area so I had an easier time adjusting to a new state.

That there are no sorority houses.

It's not so much what I wished I had known prior to attending Webster - it is more what opportunities could I have emerged myself into that would have allowed me to "feel" like I belonged. Since I was married, pregnant with my second child and an off campus resident campus, I didn't make a lot of friends nor did I feel like I belonged to any particular group. I wonder if there was an organization for people who where in my situation?

Other options that were available to me career-wise.

That my careet choice is hard to find a job in.
