I get to ring the bells before dinner! The giant bells that resonate throughout the campus. Also, the campus is beautiful. It reminds me of a Girl Scout camp. My professors are nearly all insane in that awesome way, they're fantastic! The students here come from all over the country (and the world).
When I tell my friends about my school, I brag about how small it is. It's really great. Everyone really knows one another, and you always know someone in the dining hall. The classes are small as well, so you really get to know your professors, and feel comfortable going to them when you are having trouble in the class.
I brag about our traditions. It's a great way for every student to get involved and keep the Wells College spirit alive.
Our school has an honor code. What this means is that at our school students are on their honor not to lie cheat or steal. Most professors do not stay in the rooms during exams and for most classes we are allowed to go anywhere in the building to take the test. One can also leave anything just sitting around for example I can leave my laptop in the lounge and when I come back it is still there.
That our intersession is over a month long during Christmas and New Years Eve Vacation. Taking breaks and letting life be pleasurable sometimes just being home and not cramming knowledge into our heads all of the time. I think Wells College understands that time off is just as important as time at school.
Wells College offers absolutely brilliant faculty, a tight-knit yet always welcoming student body, and many ways to get involved. The campus is absolutely gorgeous! Cayuga Lake rests its shores just across the street from campus. The buildings have wonderfully unique architecture, and the inside of them gives off the aura of being in a Harry Potter book. Traditions rule the campus. There is a plethora of them, and all are fun and engaging. The Honor Code, strongly enforced, allows a deep trust to form between all members of the Wells College Community. Students can take closed-book exams anywhere.
