What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

If I could go back to my senior year in high school and talk to the younger me I would tell him, "Okay man listen you need to set your priorities straight. We need to buckle down and get on the homework and ace all of the test. Its going to get hard but don't you worry man your going to make it through and come out on top. Just take your own advice and forget about your truck, speakers, your girlfriend, and what your friends think of you. You are the only person that this is going to affect if you slack off and choose not to do your work. We got this man, we're going to build that exo-sceleton that you have a vision for and help this nations military. Don't stress just relax and focus on what we need to make this year our most prosperous year. See you in the future man." Thats what I would tell myself, if I could go back and talk to my younger me.

If I could go back to my high school senior year to give myself advice, I would warn myself about the financial struggle and how to overcome that obstacle. I knew college would be expensive, even the junior college I am attending now, but I did not anticipate how fast the money would go. I would tell myself to save as much money I can and set it aside for my tuition and fees. I would also recommend looking into more scholarships I could apply for, anything helps especially in our economy now. Another advice I would give myself is to be open to many differnt clubs and organizations. The more the merrier. Each individual organization helps broaden my intelligence and social ways.

If I could go back and talk to myself as a high school senior before I had ever attended college, I would tell myself that all of the things that I had been exposed to and taught in high school were really meant to prepare me for college. Even just the opportunities given to me while in high school to learn more responsibility will be very useful information while in college. As a college student, there is no one to constantly remind me to do my assignments and be disciplined to just go to class and pay attention. It is during those high school years that enough discipline is learned and the responsibility is developed to prepare me so that I will be a successful college student as well as a success in life.

Senior year, the year we all look forward to, what seems like the last year of school to a high school student, yet if only we all knew that it wasn't, it was just the end of the beginning. Personally, if I could go back to my senior year, I would prepare myself better, I would take my advanced courses so much more serious, and enjoy every last day I had in what seemed then to be ?the most terrible place on earth.? I wish that I could go back and just tell myself that in the end this would be the best time of my life, and not take for granted my friends I had there, and the teachers I would probably never see again, unless on rare occasion. I also would tell myself that college is going to be loads harder so take advantage of what I had here, and be happy with it. High school is the best time of your life, it isn?t ?the most terrible place on earth,? and your senior year should be the year to look forward too.

I would try to be a little more involved with different clubs and community volunteering. Taking more advanced classes would also be very helpful.
