The academics are not that great and there isn't a lot to do in Snyder; however the classes are small and tuition is really cheap, so it's a good value for your first two years to get all your basics out of the way and graduate with an Associates degree, then transfer to a larger school.

well my opinion about why I want go to that college because I want go only by 2 years but the thing is that definitely has sport one of those sport that's my favorite is soccer well to be honest I love to play soccer and I want to show my skills that I have by my own self however and I want my goal that I want that is welding because I want work and support my family that is the more important to me just help and get new things that become real necessary.

I'd recommend Western Texas College to anyone oh want the big college feel without attending a big school. There is a ton of stuff to do in the community and the student body is well rounded. The athletics department has really improved over the last few years.

    Since I just graduated, I would have gone back and tell myself to start doing schoolarship application since i was a junior. It would have help me a lot. Work harder in my classes to gain a 4.0 GPA. Study a little longer. That's what I would have told myself.

    If you are lazy and don't want to practice everyday and have games almost every weekend. You should not come to Western Texas College. It is a school more for athletes.

  6. What's unique about your campus?

    I haven't been at this school very long, this is my first semester. I will tell you everyone has been extrememly helpful in making sure everything is done for me to start classes. I have never had to wait long at all to speak to anyone and the campus is pretty much centralized so there isn't tons of walking.

  7. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

    I wish I had known that you should take your ACT more than once because you can get scholarship offers if you make a high score. My score was not great the first time I took my ACT. Therefor that gave me no scholarship offers. Had I tried much harder on my ACT I might have gotten financial aid.

    I usually do not know what is happening around campus. They put it on the website, but I'm usually never on that part of the website. I wish they had a more effiecnet way to let students know what is happening around campus, becuase they have so many fun activies!

    When I tell my friends about school, it's mostly about the radio broadcasting program I'm in and how much fun I have in it. Sometimes I brag about how funny my teachers are and the types of things I learn while I'm in class.

All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA. Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.
