I think it is a great place to be, it is smaller so you know more people around you and feel more comfortable in the environment. This place with having a smaller class size has helped me tremendously as I can have more one on one with a teacher, not trying to learn everything on my own. I would recommend this institute to anyone.

Kinley - 05/24/2019

I really enjoy Western Wyoming Community College, and I would most definitely recommend Western Wyoming Community College to anyone. The class sizes are usually around fifteen to thirty people, therefore there is ample opportunity to ask questions and get one-on-one help from the professors. The campus is very easy to learn and to get from point "A" to point "B". You always see professors and students with smiling faces, and it is an extremely warm and welcoming environment.

If you are into a small college, ie, don't like thousands of students milling around, then this would be the college for you. There is a moderate level of opportunities, enough to suit the current student population. I think the faculty teach their subjects well, but my main issue with the school is the range of classes offered, however, that is once again to be expected of a small college.

Lynzi - 03/22/2019

It is a really great school! Western does not have a super big campus, so it is easier to find classes and know what’s going on around the school. Other students are very welcoming and kind to new students. The advisors are very great with helping, and making sure we’re okay. Events are a great way to meet new people, and my experience at Western has been really good!

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell myself that school is important and I should never put my dreams aside for someone else. I would also tell myself that it doesn't matter where I go to school the important thing is that I do well and I enjoy what I am doing. I am getting an amazing education at Western; even though I am further from home than I would like it has been a wonderful experience. I have grown, matured and excelled. Lastly, I would tell myself to have fun. Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I am the one responsible for shaping that day. I need to take advantage of every opportunity and make the most of every moment; by doing this I am able to enjoy what I am doing while I am doing it, not just when I attain my goals.

I wish I had known how great a school Western is. They have a lot to offer and the teachers really make success something that anyone can achieve. If I would have known this, I would have started college sooner. I also wish I had known how windy it is here. I would have brought better clothes.

  8. What kind of person should attend this school?

I think that many different types of students would love to attend Purdue, because it's very easy to find your own niche or a group of people that you get along with, which is very benifical to your whole college experience. Also, there is a big variety of classes so anyone can find a class that peaks there own personal intrests. Finally, there are many a clubs, organizations, and activities out there so anyone can easily become involved in them; they often bring students in with free food, if they already havent eaten in the delicious dining courts.

The best thing about my school, hands down is the small classes. Being able to work one on one with a proffesor makes all the difference to me. It makes me feel more connected, involved, and gives me a feeling of support to know that the instructors know my name. It is also so much more easier to ask for help or questions with a small class.

  14. What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?

I think that it might trouble some students at how large Purdue first seems, but you soon learn it is easy to learn your way around and its not as big as it seems. Some students who dont like venturing from home might have trouble with the distance, but there are plenty of people who are there to will help with those feelings. Also, if money is a very big issue, Purdue may be too expensive for some students. Finally, lots of the dorm/residence halls are a good walking distance from campus.

  15. What kind of person should not attend this school?

Someone that is wanting to attend a university should not attend this school.

  16. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The thing that I consider the most frustrating about school is the work load during exams. As a single parent of a one year old, finding the time to do all the reading is especially difficult. A college student needs to be prepared to read at least one chapter per week per class. For a full time student, taking four classes this would be about four to six chapters a week! Homework not included. Now add studying for tests (one or two in a week) and all that reading, yikes.
