The school is mainly known as having education and social work majors, making the Wheelock a lot about service and giving, which all in itself is a unique focus for college students.

Wheelock is a very small college in the heart of Boston. Their class sizes are small allowing teachers to cater to their students needs. Wheelock also has very few lecture classes. Most of the classes are hands on and discussion base keeping the students very engaged in the matierail. Every student at Wheelock has the chance to go out in the community to practice what they learn in class, and by the end of your freshman year at Wheelock you already have 40 hours of internship in your feild.

Wheelock is so centered on education and dedicated to improving the lives of children and families. This is something that I admired when I first looked at Wheelock, and something that I did not see at other colleges. As a future teacher, I was excited to get to Wheelock to experience all that they had to offer me related to the education field. Other colleges that are supposedly good "education" schools, did not seem to have the passion behind their program like Wheelock has behind theirs.

Wheelock College is a small community where you can find everything you are looking for just by asking. All the students are dedicated and friendly, and studying at a school where you call your professors by their first names really enables easy discussions and a relaxed learning environment

Wheelock College is a small college in the heart of the big city of Boston. It's like its own little world but then all of the excitement of the city is right outside your door. The small class sizes here allow for more one-on-one time with professors and makes learning here more personable.

I was capitivated by Wheelock's mission statement. I am very passionate about improving the lives of women and children in my society. I have always wanted to go into the counseling field. With Wheelock's hands approach to the field I am more experienced and more prepared to enter the field. Wheelock has several opportunities for students to take advantage of field placements and internships throughout all four years of school.
