Very family oriented less than 1000 students. Small classes which helps with having access to professor. Its away from but not too far. You have to go in town to Xenia for groceries and Walmart runs but it’s only 10 minutes away. Campus is small but accessible. Positive culture.

I visit the school over spring break and I enjoyed it. Can’t wait to come down there in July I’m actually just sitting here counting down day by day I’m the first in my family to go college a University I can’t let them down. They are counting on me to do better. They want me to do better then them. But Wilberforce is very nice everybody is nice and I love meeting new people. I was the only person in the little group tour over break that was from Chicago. I learn a lot in just that one day

I love Wilberforce University because there is so much history here. It's the first private HBCU and many people who have come from here have became great things. There's also many different types of people so there's someone for everyone. Also, there's many different types of programs, especially for the arts. There's C.L.E.F., WU Media, two modelling troupes: Nubiance and Posh. This school is also very rich in culture and academics. If you get passed the disorganization then you'll be just fine here.

I honestly love Wilberforce University, they do have a lot of disorganization but they make up for it in the with there amazing teacher that are willing to give up a day for you; paired with there enriched history and extraordinary agriculture. There are many things to do at Wilberforce if your willing to listen and look around for the right fit.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would tell my high school self that you are a 13 year old high school graduate, so make sure that you take some time to enjoy yourself, a little. However, the transition into college can be interesting. Stay true to yourself at all times and remember that you are in college for academics first. Your goal is to graduate, so do not let anything comprises you of that goal. You have a light about yourself and a gift that compells you to want to help everyone, be involved in everything and learn everything. However, you are not super human and those things will take a toll on you if you overwork yourself. I would also tell myself to pay attention to the opportunities that will present themselves to you and act upon them. Lastly, I would tell myself not to worry. Circmstances and situations will present themselves to you because they are a part of life. Some will hurt , but your stregth will build and you will overcome them. Through it all, you will be 18 years old wearing a black cap, graduating with honors with your Bachelors of Arts in Music. Never doubt yourself, you always pull through.

  4. What's unique about your campus?

The community feeling is the best. It is a small enviroment. However, it allows one to develop real and strong relationships with not just other fellow students, but faculty and administration as well. Those relationships are a truly helpful support system when one is struggling, in academic, business or life in general. I know all of the Staff and Administration by name and that has heped me numerous times since I started at Wilberforce University. As for friends, I have made friends that are more then friends to me but rather family for life, a wonderful feeling.

The University is very ambicious but is held back because of it's financial state. Low enrollment has also caused a huge hurting on the school that I wish I would have known about.
