I am truly enjoying Wiley. The faculty and staff are very approachable and wants you to learn. College is not about the professors, but it is about what the students out in to get what they need. I have often heard when the student is ready the teacher will appear. If we pull on our professor's knowledge and not dummy down then, the education will truly begin. We do out part and they will make sure they do theirs.

I feel that the college have made improvements and im all for it but i feel that finances should be better. I apprection all that Wiley College have done for me and I'm proud of the person I have become while attending Wiley College. The college is like one big family no matter what happens it always someone there for you. Basically the whole campus is there for you and that what I love about my HBCU.

Passion

I LOVE my HBCU!!!!! Has a GREAT CJ Department. We just got a new president so the school is going through a lot of renovations and change. The dorm SUCK but i'm pretty sure they are about to fix those up. The cafeteria has its good day and that's on tuesday's, but sometimes that can be a hit or miss too.

Ndia

Wiley is a school where you have to invest there for it to be lit. For the most part when you put in good you get out good at this school. It is on an older campus with new technology so you get what you take for it. Overall i love my H in front of my B my B in front of my C i love my HBCU.

  5. What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?

Before coming to this school I wish I known how my decision to leave college at 19 would affect my adult life. Not that I have had a bad life but I believe things would be different if I had persevered through the hardships. Funds were limited and I was not mature enough to innovate ways to work through this. If I had I would not be a 49 year old college student now. On the bright side, I am enjoying college. Being an adult student proposes challenges but I have a sense of accomplishment just from returning to school.

  12. What's the most frustrating thing about your school?

The most frustrating thing about school is learning to manage and balance the stress from both school and social life. The school will stress you about needing so much financial aid but does not fully provide you with assistance. You would figure they would give a little hand with you having courses and coursework. so i have to fend for my higher GPA and finding financial aid. Not saying its not my responsibility, but that is pretty frustrating. I have to just shake it off and let my maturity shine through.
