William Woods is probably best known for is impecable equestrian program. Not many people know that WWU was actually the first university to offer a degree in equestrian science. Through the program students are given the opportunity to learn the four main seats of riding; hunt seat, saddle seat, dressage, and western. Students are given hands on experience in the horse world and the professors do their absolute best to expose their riders to everything that they could possibly face in the horse industry. Courses included in this program range from tack repair to teaching to stable management.
My school is best know from Equine majors.
You have to be the right kind of person to really love WWU. My four years at William Woods were the best four years of my life. I thrived in the equestrian program, met the closest fiends I will ever have and grew as an individual. It is a small school in a small town, however, I came from a vey large high school and could appreciate the individual attention I was given.
