I personally love Winthrop. It is a very open-minded campus and it is very easy to find the community here. I have never felt unsafe when walking aro
I enjoy the campus life and have not run into a lot of problems while I've been here for two years. The university is good enough, but it is not the best. I love the faculty and staff in every building on this campus. They are always prepared to answer questions and concerns that come their way.
I am only a sophomore but I have really enjoyed my time at Winthrop. I have not met a lot of friends but the academics have been great and I love the atmosphere of the campus. I have felt at home here ever since my first tour and I know once I graduate it will be a hard thing to give up if I find a job elsewhere.
A reallly good school! That's where my uncle graduated

Make should that you meet people and make friends during orientation. When you get in your classes, no matter what everyone else is doing make sure that you are studying your tail off in order to keep that 3.0GPA and stick with German, the language you have a grasp on instead of switching languages.
Winthrop Univesity is an amazing school that has everything you could ever want and more. It has a beautiful campus and plenty of options for clubs, sororities/fraternities, and classes.
The worst part of Winthrop is the rising tuition. Tuition just increased again for the upcoming year, making it more difficult to pay. Books alone are expensive, along with the extra activities you may want to do, such as taking a trip to Carowinds (8 miles away), or go to a movie. Those costs, plus books/ necessitites, along with the struggle to pay for tuition makes you feel defeated, making your goals and dreams harder to accomplish, as if they weren't hard enough (also, if your dreams seem easy to accomplish, you havent set your goals high enough! :))
A person who is dedicated to helping and educate others. People with a positive attitude on campus help to bring a better atmosphere to the campus. Although Winthrop offers a variety of majors, the education majors should definitely consider coming to WInthrop because they can learn so much from professors and mentors.
My classmates are dedicated, friendly, hardworking, studious, and outgoing.
I knew pretty much what I needed to know.
Someone who isn't open minded and willing to try new things. Winthrop offers a lot of opportunities to explore new cultures and if you aren't willing to try them then it won't be a good experience.
Winthrop University is close to my home, and it does not cost a lot of money. It looks the way I envision a college campus to look like. So I can commute for a good price to a school that makes me feel comfortable.
The lack of school spirit can sometimes be frustrating. This is because not many students attend the sporting events.
The school is best known for their basketball team. As well as being a suitcase college because no students remain on campus on weekends.
I brag about my professors and how they helped me find a job BEFORE I graduated. I was a journalism major, and all my professors have had experience in the media. Their connections helped me get my foot in the door for my first job, which I landed three months before actually graduating.
Socially diverse
My favorite class so far would either have to be my Web Design class, where i learned HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and JQuery, or my HMXP class, which was basically an English class where there would be discussions held everyday on things we read for homework. Class participation, that i have noticed, is very common. Participation counts a lot in many classes, not all, but many. Students at Winthrop are really competitive and will make you work harder to improve yourself. I am a Web Application Design major which is a concentration under Digital Information Design. My major is under the business department. Everyone in this department is so friendly and welcoming. If you have any questions, there is no need to be afraid to go during office hours and ask. I had to go many times to a professor because i just simply could not figure something out in class and just didnt understand it.
I love Winthrop University; there is a so much diversity. There are so many things to do around campus, but a downfall is that most people generally go home on the weekends.
I think all around out school is great. I haven't heard of many stereotypes
