If a club or organization doesn't exist here, there is always room for more. Winthrop University is a school that focuses on character development; it pushes students to there limit to excel. During exam week, students may panic about that final grade, but once everything is said and done they realize all the sweat and tears were worth what they achieved in the end; not only will they receive knowledge, but they will gain experience for life.

Winthrop University is very well known for it's arts and sciences program. As an art students I hear more about the arts side of this and it is easy to understand why. Winthrop has a very well known program that offers majors that are not offered in many other places. The programs offered are accredited and the teachers are always there to help their students succeed. This in turn helps the university, as alumni, of the school are very supportive and donate art, money and time to benefit not only the school but also the students that attend.

The school is best known for their basketball team. As well as being a suitcase college because no students remain on campus on weekends.

My school is best known for having a lot of student envolvement, not just in clubs and organizations, but also with the fraternaties and sororities. Almost every single one volunteers in some way, shape, or form in order to help out our surrounding community of Rock Hill. They are also always trying to find ways to make Winthrop and better place, not only as a school, but as a place for cultural diversity and personal development.

My school is best known for being the best school in the state of South Carolina for education majors. It is also liberal.
