I love the fact that Yavapai college allows me to connect with a huge variety of community members. I also love the high-quality classes, which come at an affordable price, and the devoted teachers that I have had the pleasure of meeting. The teaching staff at Yavapai college is driven, focused, and invested in their student's futures. I also love the fact that I have the opportunity to take challenging classes in the form of Honors courses and to really be able to test my limits.
The best thing about Yavapai College is how professional they are, even as a smaller community college. They offer financial aid to those who need it and the tuition rates are already low. The advisors are super helpful and I waable to enroll in all the credits I needed to and still have it fit my schedule. They made it easy to work full-time and go to school full-time, and both the staff and the teachers understood that many students have to balance their classes with an outside life. I was able to succeed here.
The best thing about my school all around would have to be the environment. I am a nature lover and there is beautiful scenery. Also the environment of the faculty and students. Everyone is very easy going and welcomes you to the school rather than making you feel like an outcast.
The thing i would consider most about yavapai college is that its not too big or not too small. You get the college atmosphere but its still small enough to learn about other people and meet a lot of new people. You dont get lost in the classroom amongst others since its not a stadium like lecture in most univesities. The professors are there to help you succeed and actually care if you learn the material or not.
The best thing about my school is that it's size and the more personal and laid-back atmosphere that comes with it. Instead of a math class with 350 people that you may find at a large university, class sizes are smaller and thus allow for a more personal relationship with the instructor as well as the rest of the students in the class.
It is close to my home, cheep and small
