Here’s a list of great May scholarships to help get you started!Seed Companies Scholarship If you plan to wake up and smell the flowers, you may be eligible for this $2,500 award. Candidates must be an undergraduate junior or senior or graduate student pursuing a career in floriculture or horticulture. Deadline: May 1Scholarship for Redheads If you’re a natural redhead, you may be eligible for this $500 scholarship. Candidates must also be high school juniors or seniors with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Deadline: May 4Gallagher Student Health Careers Scholarship Program If you’re a college junior or senior pursuing a career in health care, then this $5,000 essay scholarship is for you. Five awards available. Deadline: May 8Kodak Scholarship Program The Eastman Kodak Company sponsors this annual scholarship program for film, film production, and cinematography students. A total of three awards valued between $3,000 and $5,000 each will be provided. Deadline: May 15Blindsgalore National Scholarship This $2,000 essay scholarship is open to U.S. women who are currently enrolled in college and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Deadline: May 15Google Science Fair Contest Students between the ages of 13 and 18 may submit a science fair project online for the chance to win one of five scholarships, with a grand prize of $50,000! Fifteen finalists will receive a trip to Google Headquarters for the final selection process. Deadline: May 18I’m First Scholarship If you are the first in your family to attend college, you may be eligible for this $2,000 scholarship. Candidates must be graduating high school seniors and be either a first-generation student, exhibit financial need, or be a minority. Deadline: May 22LM Scholarship Program High school seniors and older, with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, may apply for this $500 scholarship. Students must submit an essay about how better safety procedures could have prevented an injury. Deadline: May 31Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship Artists, get your portfolios ready! High school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores who are majoring in visual arts are eligible to apply for one of five $1,000 scholarships. Winners will also receive approximately $750 worth of Krylon products. Deadline: May 31Fifth Month Scholarship High five for free money!
