5 Simple Words Scholarship: That Could Lead to Scholarship Money

Posted byUnigo Staff November 10, 2021January 30, 2023

Have you ever thought about what the future holds for you? I’m not talking about which college you plan to attend or what major you will choose. No, I’m talking about life after college. I know when I was a senior in high school, I envisioned a life filled with adventure. My plan was to become a veterinarian and head off to Africa to help endangered animals. I was particularly interested in studying the big cats. I would dream about hiding in the brush just a few feet away from a pride of lions or playfully tagging along with a cheetah during a hunt. Eventually, I would settle down and open a sanctuary to help increase awareness about these majestic creatures.

Unfortunately, I never made my high school dream a reality, but that doesn’t mean my life isn’t filled with adventure. In fact, I have two feline friends at home who keep me on my toes. They may be small in size, but they have attitudes to rival any jungle panther or African lion. And, instead of helping endangered animals, I’m helping another struggling species — broke students, which brings me to the reason for this post about the 5 Simple Words scholarship.

A new scholarship popped up on my radar last week. Did you know that simple words could lead to scholarship money? It’s called the 5 Simple Words Scholarship, and it’s worth a cool $10,000! Four scholarships are available to legal residents of the United States who are 14 years of age or older. The essay prompt is fun and pretty simple. After you have chosen your words, write a short explanation (200 words or less) to support your answer. That’s it! Just be sure you apply before the September 30 deadline, or you’ll be out of luck.

This 5 Simple Words scholarship program is offered through Unigo.com. If you haven’t already visited this website, I encourage you to do so. Not only can you apply for a $10,000 scholarship, but also search colleges, read thousands of reviews, connect with current college students, and even enroll in a live college counseling session to help you get accepted. It has something for everyone, whether you’re a student, parent or an educator. So, do yourself a favor and check it out. Who knows? You might win $10,000 in scholarship money and turn your dream into a reality!
