Today's Question: "How Do I find weird scholarships online?"
Most students have heard about some of the unusual or weird scholarships out there. It's true, they do exist, and our scholarship expert, Ashley, knows just where to find them. Whether you are short, tall or somewhere in between, there's probably a scholarship waiting for you. So, sit back and watch this short video to learn how your strange and unusual talents (or genetically inherited traits) could lead to some free money for college!
Did you know that there is a scholarship for left-handed people? How about scholarships for vegetarians? One of the more famously weird scholarships is the Stuck at Prom Scholarship, which challenges students to make their prom outfits out of duct tape. If you have a talent for duck calling, you could also win a scholarship by applying for the annual Chick and Sophie Major Memorial Duck Calling Contest! For those who can't get enough of The Walking Dead, there's even an annual Zombie Apocalypse Scholarship, which requires students to write a simple 250-word essay about how they would survive a zombie apocalypse. The point is, if you have a weird talent or hobby, try Googling it, or better yet, use a free scholarship search service to help you find even more fun and unusual scholarships that reward your 'weird' talents or traits. You never know, eating with your feet or being able to tie a cherry stem in a knot with your tongue might actually pay off some day!
