Ocean Awareness Student Contest

Award: $250 to $1,500 (28 winners)
Deadline: 6/13/16
Eligibility: Middle school and high school students from across the globe.
How to apply: Submit an original work of art, poetry, prose, or film that addresses a specific aspect of ocean pollution.

Internet and Education Scholarship

Award: $1,000
Deadline: 6/14/16
Eligibility: U.S. students with a 2.5 or higher GPA who are high school seniors, college undergrads, or grad school students.
How to apply: Create an original, fun infographic showing how apps are helping students learn in unique ways outside of traditional classroom settings.

Eligibility: U.S. high school seniors, undergrads, or grad school students who have type 1 or type 2 diabetes and a 3.0 or higher GPA.
How to apply: Write a 500- to 1,000-word essay about one of the diabetes topics provided online.

Eligibility: U.S. student athletes who are high school seniors or college undergrads.
How to apply: Write a 500- to 1,000-word essay on how sports affected who you are, your career choices, and how you relate to your family.

Mark Beaumont Scholarship

Award: $2,500 (two winners)

Eligibility: U.S. college sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students who have a 3.3 or higher GPA and plan to work in the game or interactive entertainment industry.
How to apply: Submit a two-page personal statement about how you will benefit the game industry.

L. Ron Hubbard's Illustrators of the Future Contest

Award: $500 to $5,000 (three winners per quarter)

Eligibility: Students of all ages who are not professional artists.
