Unigo Scholarship Alert: November (part 2)

We're serving up the second course of November scholarships. Mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing, t(of)urkey, cranberry sauce ... and seven sweet scholarships for dessert!

James Alan Cox Scholarship

Do you have a good eye? Submit your photographs or videos, along with a brief essay, for a chance to win a $2,500 scholarship. College sophomores, juniors, or seniors who have taken courses in photography or photojournalism are eligible to apply. Deadline: Nov. 15.

Distracted Driver Awareness Scholarship

The consequences of distracted driving can be grave. If you've been affected by, or understand the dangers of distracted driving, submit an essay of no more than 2,000 words for a chance at a $1,000 scholarship. Deadline: Nov. 15.

Bill Kane Scholarship

If you eat an apple a day and successfully keep the doctor away, then you may be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. In order to be considered, students majoring in health education are required to write a short essay addressing health education and their career goals. Deadline: Nov. 15.

Pierce Scholarship Award

Do you have a binding affinity for scholarship money? Students majoring in the life sciences are eligible for a $5,000 or $10,000 scholarship by submitting a short essay addressing the advancement of antibody technologies, along with the required materials. Deadline: Nov. 24.

Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award

Volunteers make a difference, and they should be rewarded. Students 21 years and younger who have completed at least 50 hours of community service are eligible to apply for a $500 scholarship by writing an essay addressing how volunteering has impacted their lives. Deadline: Nov. 29.

Smithsonian.com Photo Contest

Another photography scholarship! Send in your best photos for a chance to win a $500 or $2,500 scholarship. Students 18 years and older are eligible to apply. Deadline: Nov. 30.

Unigo Education Matters Scholarship

We're all about education, and we want to know what you would say to someone who didn't think education mattered. Students 13 years and older are eligible to apply for this $5,000 scholarship. Deadline: Nov. 30.
