The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS)
$3,000 annually, non-renewable. Up to $500 for travel expenses will be available to the recipients to attend the TMS Annual Meeting to accept the award. Each scholarship recipient is also given the opportunity to select up to five extraction and processing division-sponsored conference proceedings or textbooks to be donated in the recipient's name to the his/her school's library.
Two awards offered annually.
The following criteria will be assessed by the scholarship selection committee to select the recipients of this scholarship: scholarship application; academic achievement; activities in and out of school, including work experience; leadership; personal profile statement; and letters of recommendation. Relatives of members of the TMS Student Affairs Committee or of the TMS Funding Committee/Division are not eligible. Please note: The applicant may apply for up to two of the TMS Scholarship Programs.
