A first-prize award of $3,000, a second-prize award of $2,000, a third-prize award of $1,000, fourth place receives $750, fifth place receives $500, sixth place receives $400, and honorable mention(s) may be awarded in the amount of $200. All awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.

Additional Information

Winners will be asked to provide a photograph suitable for publication. By entering the contest, winning students agree to have their essays printed in full or in part in 'Freethought Today,' the foundation's newspaper, and later posted online on the foundation's website. Eligible entrants will be offered a complimentary freethought book.

Deadline Info
