Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be 21 years of age or older.
  4. Must have a high school diploma or GED, or have passed an Ability to Benefit test.

Additional Information: The Imagine America Adult Skills Education Program (ASEP) builds upon the IAF's award-winning Imagine America scholarship program, which has helped thousands of high school seniors each year attend a career college. Imagine America ASEP is a national aid program established in 2008 by the Imagine America Foundation. This award was established to assist adult, non-traditional learners in their quest for higher education. The student must meet the eligibility requirements of his/her intended college. The student may not be a previous recipient of any other IAF scholarships/awards.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online on the Imagine America Foundation (IAF) website by clicking on the 'Prospective Adult Students' link. The application must be submitted online on the IAF website. Before applying, the student must choose an IAF-registered career college that he/she is interested in attending. After selecting a college, the student must click on the hyperlinked college name to begin the scholarship application process. Please note: The student must complete the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Student Success Assessment as part of the application process. Information on the NCCT is available at www.ncctinc.com/. After submission of the application, the student's intended career college will automatically receive the student's information and will approve or deny a scholarship award. The deadline date is December 31 each year; the scholarship application re-opens on January 1 annually.
