This fund memorializes Laura Dowsett who was instrumental in creating the first occupational therapy program in Hawai'i. She was the director of the occupational therapy department at Queens Hospital for 16 years. She also founded the Occupational Therapy Association of Hawai'i and served as its president for seven years. All students must demonstrate financial need and good moral character. Recipients will be notified after the scholarship selection committees meet, which could be any time between May and August.
