Number of Awards & Eligibility: There are multiple available awards for this scholarship.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be US citizens.
  2. Must be accepted in a graduate-level program.
  3. Must demonstrate financial need.
  4. Must have commitment to local community, character for compassion and integrity, and career objectives.
  5. Must be majoring in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology or hearing audiology.

Description: The National AMBUCS, Inc. is available for students accepted in a graduate-level program at the appropriate therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, or hearing audiology. To date, more than $9.1 million in scholarships have been awarded to over 16,000 students.

Application requirements for the AMBUCS Scholarship Program are:

  • Essay
  • FAFSA
  • Application form
  • Personal statement.
Additional Information: National AMBUCS, Inc. provides awards to students who must be US citizens accepted in a graduate-level program that is accredited by the appropriate therapy profession authority in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, or hearing audiology. Assistant or undergraduate programs are not eligible. Awards are based on financial need, commitment to local community, character for compassion and integrity, and career objectives.

Award Amount: One two-year award in the amount of $6,000 and other awards ranging from $500 to $1,500  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.
