Number of Awards & Eligibility: 25 scholarships awarded annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a resident of the state of Florida.
  3. Must attend a public, private or home education high school program in Florida.
  4. Must be a graduating high school senior at time of application.
  5. Must demonstrate artistic merit and academic excellence in creative writing, dance, music, theatre or visual arts.

Description: Each year Arts for Life! awards $1,000 scholarships to 25 graduating high school seniors in Florida. This award is available for U.S. and international high school seniors in Florida. Students must demonstrate artistic merit and academic excellence in creative writing, dance, music, theatre or visual arts.

Application requirements for the Arts for Life! Scholarship are:

  • Application form (three copies)
  • Essay (three copies)
  • Wallet-sized photo
  • Resume (three copies)
  • Signed artist release form (three copies)
  • Work sample
Additional Information: In addition to the program's $2,000 cash award, winners will be automatically eligible to receive a matching in-kind scholarship worth a minimum $1,000 if they attend one of the participating Florida institutions for higher education: Broward College, College of Central Florida, Flagler College, Florida College, Florida Atlantic University, Florida Institute of Technology, Jacksonville University, Nova Southeastern University, Stetson University, and University of Florida.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $50,000.
