Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must major in political science, history, government, or economics.
  4. Must be a deserving junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. college juniors and seniors who are majoring in political science, history, government, or economics.

Application requirements for the Enid Hall Griswold Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • List of extracurricular activities
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
Additional Information: Awards are based on academic excellence, commitment to field of study, and/or financial need, or other restrictions on specific scholarships. No affiliation with DAR is necessary unless specified. Scholarships are awarded regardless of race, religion, sex or national origin. Only winners are notified by the National DAR Scholarship Chairman following the approval of a ruling by the executive committee of the NSDAR.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
