In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.
  4. Must be enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education no later than fall of 2020.

Description: The MoneySolver.org Halloween Costume Scholarship is available for U.S. students who are 18 years of age and are currently enrolled or planning to soon enroll in an accredited college or university.

Application requirements for the Halloween Costume Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Essay
Additional Information: Scholarships are provided by MoneySolver.org and seek to recognize and reward those students who submit particularly original and creative essay responses. Award selection will be weighted equally among the following four aspects: writing ability; originality; creativity; and overall quality and excellence. A panel of judges will select one winner within two months of the final deadline date, and the chosen recipient will be required to provide additional documentation such as proof of enrollment and proof of other eligibility requirements as requested.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about the Halloween Costume Scholarship are available online using the provided links. To be considered for this award, students must write an original essay of up to 250 words in length that responds to the contests' topic prompt: "What was your favorite costume (worn by either you or your pet)?" Essays must be submitted with all other required applicant information through the online application form. All applications and essays must be submitted no later than the deadline date.
