  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must reside in the St. Louis city area.

Description: The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Kappa Sigma Alumni Chapter Scholarship is available for black men who are graduating from a high school in the St. Louis city area. Applicants must demonstrate academic merit and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Kappa Sigma Alumni Chapter Scholarship is provided to assist with the educational costs of academically gifted black men in the St. Louis area. Award selection will be based on a combination of academic achievements, unmet financial need, and other awards and accomplishments the applicant has achieved. Scholarship Central is made possible by a joint commitment between St. Louis Graduates and the St. Louis Community Foundation, as well as a variety of private and public sponsors.

Award Amount: Scholarship awards are in the amount of $1,000. All awards are provided on a one-time basis and are not renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Online applications and additional details about this award are available online at the Scholarship Central website. To be considered for this award, students must register an online account with the Scholarship Central scholarship application system. In addition to the online application form, applicants for the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Kappa Sigma Alumni Chapter Scholarship must submit the following: responses to the supplemental questions; high school and/or college transcripts; proof of financial need; three letters of recommendation; a copy of an admissions letter the applicant used during college applications; and an optional personal statement that describes any unusual circumstances the applicant may be facing. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted through the online system no later than the deadline date.
