Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must participate in athletics or other extracurricular activities.
  4. Must attend a high school in Baltimore. Preference will be given to students at Heritage High School.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for high school seniors in Baltimore, MD who have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Preference will be given to students who are active in athletics or other extracurricular activities, as well as students at Heritage High School.

Application requirements for the Arthur W. Elder, II Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Provided by the Baltimore Community Foundation and established in memory of Arthur W. Elder II, a 1974 graduate of the former Lake Clifton High School, this scholarship is provided each year to a student who may not have lived up to his or her full potential in high school, but who wishes to pursue higher education. Preference will be given to students who are active in athletics or other extracurricular activities, as well as students attending Heritage High School.

Award Amount: $1,250 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,250.
