Additional Information: The Mike Donnelly Student Athlete Scholarship Fund is provided annually to graduaiting high school seniors at Fayette High School who have been involved in sports and athletic activities. Award selection will be based on a combination of the student's sports record, academic performance, and unmet financial need. This scholarship is administered through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF), a local area charity founded in 1978 with the purpose of providing a dedicated and consolidated resource for diverse and otherwise unrelated charity efforts. From its humble beginnings, the scope of the GKCCF has expanded to include the broader regional area, as well as national inititatives, scholarships, and other programs designed to benefit communities across the country.

Award Amount: $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Applications and information about the Mike Donnelly Student Athlete Scholarship Fund are available online at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation (GKCCF) website. To be considered for this scholarship, students must submit a completed online application form as well as the following documents and responses to the supplemental questions: a completed educational budget section of the application; an essay of up to 500 words in length addressing the topic on the application; a brief personal statement detailing any unusual circumstances or causes of financial need; and a letter of recommendation from someone who is not related to the applicant. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online by the deadline date. Any late or incomplete submissions will be discarded.
