  2. Must be a graduate or undergraduate student.
  3. Must be pursuing a career sports media.

Description: The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) is partnering with ESPN to help pave the way for Black women in the sports media industry. One undergraduate and one graduate female African American student will each receive a $3,750 educational scholarship.

Additional Information: The winning students will write up to two blog posts on pre-approved topics that will be published on the AWM website and pushed through AWM’s social networks. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) is partnering with ESPN to help pave the way for Black women in the sports media industry. ESPN’s $10,000 donation to AWMF will provide two $3,750 educational scholarships, for the 2021 spring semester, to one promising Black female graduate student and one Black female junior or senior undergraduate student, pursuing careers in sports media. Each winning student will also receive a complimentary ticket to attend the Gracies Luncheon event in June 2021. In addition, the winning students will write up to two blog posts to be published on the AWM website.

Award Amount: Two $3,750 awards are being offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.
