  1. Must attend a high school in Dutchess county.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must participate in high school baseball.

Description: This award is available for current high school seniors in Dutchess County, New York. Applicants must have participated on a high school baseball team.

Application requirements for the Andy Vito, Harold Tompkins, and Ron Vece Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: Established by the Hudson Valley Umpires Association in memory of Andy Vito, Harold Tompkins and Ron Vece this scholarship is available to Dutchess County high school graduates who have played high school baseball.

Award Amount: $750 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $750.

Applications are available online from the Community Foundation of the Hudson Valley website at the address provided. In addition to the completed application, each applicant must submit two letters of recommendation (one academic and one personal); a copy of his/her most recent transcript; a copy of the student's Student Aid Report (SAR) and Expected Family Contribution (EFC) information; and an essay of approximately 500 words responding to the prompt listed on the application. The Student Aid Report (SAR) is obtained by filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications must be completed online by the deadline date.
