Many large state universities are known for their academics, research programs, alumni network — and football! Being a part of a college football team means that you are a part of the school’s spirit and tradition. Finding a scholarship to play football, however, can be very competitive. Not only do athletes need to impress scouts, coaches, and recruiters, they also need to impress the college admissions council with their GPA. A good combination of both talent and academics can help football players gain scholarships offered by the NCAA, as a minimum GPA is required for many of these awards. Talk with your coach to discover what options may be available to you, and be sure to check out our scholarship directory to find football scholarships for college.
