Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided each year the program is available.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in Easthampton, Holyoke, Southampton, or Westhampton.
  2. Must be a graduating high school senior.
  3. Prefernce is given to students who play ice hockey.

Description: The Eric Clayton Hockey Memorial Scholarship Fund is available for graduating high school seniors in Easthampton, Holyoke, Southampton, or Westhampton who are active in ice hockey.

Additional Information: The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts provides the Eric Clayton Hockey Memorial Scholarship Fund annually to support local area students who are pursuing a higher education. Scholarships are awarded in memory of Eric Clayton, and in recognition of his love for ice hocky, preference will be given to students who are involved with the sport. Consideration will also be given to the academic records and financial need of applicants.

Award Amount: Scholarships are typically awarded in the amount of $1,000 and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications for the Albert S. and Anna E. Adams Scholarship Fund are available and accepted between January 1 and March 31. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete the online application at the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts website. Completed application forms will also require students to submit a recent copy of transcripts as well as their current year Student Aid Report. The Student Aid report is obtained when the student completes the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). All applications must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
