Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in Middletown, Ohio.
  2. Must demonstrate participation in athletics.
  3. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.
  4. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be African American.
  7. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The John A. McCluskey and Helen McCluskey Scholarship scholarship is available for graduating African American seniors at Middleton High School in Middletown, Ohio who display a passion for athletics. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate a commitment to community service.

Additional Information: The John A. McCluskey and Helen McCluskey Scholarship is provided annually to an African American student at Middletown High School. Applicants must demonstrate high academic achievement, participation in athletics, and a commitment to serving the community.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

In addition, the student must also submit a copy of his/her most recent high school transcripts including SAT/ACT scores, and a resume detailing work experience and/or community service participation.
