Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards varies annually depending on the number of available job positions and the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be Jewish.
  2. Must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in a graduate program.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

Description: The JCC Scholars Award is available for Jewish graduate students in the U.S. Applicants must commit to working at least two years within the JCC movement.

Application requirements for the JCC Graduate Scholars Program are:

  • Application form
Additional Information: Recipients of the JCC Scholars Award must agree to two years of service with the JCC. For full-time students, this requires two years of tull time employment following application. Part-time graduate students will be required to work full time in the JCC movement. Students who are not willing to dedicate two years of service to JCC should not apply for this award as they will be required to return any funds received.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, renewable for up to one additional year of graduate study.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $20,000.

Applications and information about this award are available online at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) website. To be considered for an award, applicants must submit an application during the October through January application period. Completed submissions include the application form, transcripts and/or other academic information, proof of enrollment in a graduate program, and additional statements or essays as required in the application form instructions.
