American Legion Department Headquarters - Alabama
$850 annually, non-renewable. This award is to be used for books, tuition, and/or board costs. Students may reapply each year for a total of four years. To reapply, the student must have a 3.0 grade point average and a completed application on file with the American Legion Auxiliary.
40 awards offered annually. The awards are distributed among the participating schools. The student should check the application to see how many awards are available at his/her school.
Evaluation of each application will be conducted by the American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. Each application shall be reviewed and scored on a point basis in relation to each item listed on the official application form. Scholarships, once awarded, cannot be transferred from one campus to another.
