Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic Association of Brevard County

Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually and will be determined by the number of eligible applicants. Last year, five awards were given.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must an active member in good standing of a National Panhellenic Council affiliated sorority.
  4. Must be enrolled as a full-time student.
  5. Must have a permanent address in South or Central Brevard County, FL.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must be a female.
  8. Must be a college freshman, sophomore, or junior at time of application.
  9. Must have graduated from a Brevard County high school (public or private).
  10. Must be attending a four-year Florida college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. women who are attending a four-year college or university in Florida on a full-time basis and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The applicant must be a graduate of a Brevard County (Florida) high school and be a member of a National Panhellenic Council affiliated sorority.

Additional Information: Awards are given based on the following criteria: scholastic excellence, participation in campus and community activities, and involvement in sorority activities. Recipients must attend the Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic Awards Banquet in May.

Award Amount: The scholarship award amount will be determined by the availability of funds. In the past, the association has been able to award up to $2,000 per scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available by contacting the Melbourne Alumnae Panhellenic Association of Brevard County using the email addresses provided. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: essays of 300 words or less in response to the four questions listed in the application (should not reference her sorority); a list of her activities demonstrating leadership and/or participation in school and community life; an official college transcript (sent by her college registrar directly to the scholarship chairman); a recent photograph; and a reference from her chapter president or chapter adviser (must include the president/adviser's signature). The application and all supporting materials must be sent to the email address provided, and must be received by the deadline date.
