Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of scholarships awarded varies.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Palm Beach, Broward or Martin County, Florida.
  2. Must be a full time student.
  3. Must have an interest in the nursing field.
  4. Must be attending one of the following schools in Palm Beach County, Florida: Florida Atlantic University, Keiser University, West Palm Beach Campus, Nova Southeastern University, Palm Beach Gardens Campus, Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach Atlantic University, South University, West Palm Beach Campus.
  5. Must exhibit a financial need.
  6. Must have a GPA of at least 2.5.

Description: The George Snow Scholarship Fund partners with Palm Health Foundation to annually provide a needs-based scholarship program that encourages individuals in the community to enter and advance in the nursing profession. Amounts vary, but the average award in 2019 was $12,500.00. Learn more and apply today!

Application requirements for the Palm Health Foundation Nursing Scholarship are:

Additional Information: To qualify, you must meet ALL of the following criteria: • You must be a resident of Palm Beach, Broward or Martin County, Florida. • You must be a current or prospective student who is, or will be as of Summer 2020, enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited program of organized instruction or study that leads to an academic, professional, or vocational degree or certificate (or other recognized educational credential) in the nursing field. The foundation does not currently provide scholarship funding for pre-requisite courses for limited-access programs. However, students who are enrolled in an RN-BSN program on a part-time basis will be eligible to receive scholarship funding, provided they maintain a course load equivalent to at least six (6) credit hours per semester. • You must be attending one of the following schools in Palm Beach County, Florida: Florida Atlantic University, Keiser University, West Palm Beach Campus Nova Southeastern University, Palm Beach Gardens Campus, Palm Beach State College, Palm Beach Atlantic University, South University, West Palm Beach Campus • You must maintain at least a 2.5 overall GPA. • Must exhibit a financial need. • You must submit an Award Letter from your school with this application. If you DO NOT have an Award Letter, please contact the office at 561.347.6799. • After graduating from a nursing program, you must attempt to work as a nurse in Palm Beach County for one year for each year of PHF scholarship funding you receive.

Award Amount: Amounts vary, but the average award in 2019 was $12,500.00  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $12,500.
