Students continue to be eligible for need-based grants and scholarships at household incomes up to $180,000. With more than $173 million in aid disbursed annually, more than 82% of Princeton's undergraduate students manage to graduate debt-free.

Award Amount: Individual award amounts vary depending on each student's demonstrated and unmet financial need. For students in the class of 2022, the average award amount was $53,100, which is higher than the cost of tuition. Awards are renewable for the full four years of undergraduate study, provided that the student maintains satisfactory progress and updates his or her financial aid application each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $53,100.

To be considered for financial aid at Princeton University, students must first apply for and be accepted admissions. Students may apply through any of the following: the Coalition Application; Common Application; or the Universal College Application. All submissions must also include the Princeton University supplemental sections. All applications for admissions must be received no later than November 1. Students then have until November 9 to complete the school's financial aid application.
