Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must enroll full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must have completed 60 undergraduate credit hours or more at time of application, but must not be graduating before May, OR be in graduate school.
  4. Must pursue a degree in occupational safety and health or a closely related field. Examples of a closely related field are industrial and environmental engineering, other science degrees, and possibly business.
  5. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  6. Priority given to Indiana residents attending school in Indiana or anywhere in the U.S. or to non-residents attending an Indiana University, Indiana State University or Purdue University.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for U.S. college juniors and graduate students who are pursuing a degree in occupational safety and health or a closely related field. The applicant enroll full time and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Central Indiana ASSE Jim Kriner Memorial Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Central Indiana ASSE Jim Kriner Memorial Scholarship requires that the applicant to be an ASSE Student Member. If the student is not already an ASSE member, he/she may apply for membership at time of scholarship application. The membership costs $15 per year. To apply for membership, the applicant must contact ASSE's Customer Service Department at 1-847-699-2929 or visit online at www.asse.org and select 'Membership', then 'Join'. Priority will be given to Indiana residents attending school in Indiana or anywhere in the U.S. or to non-residents attending an Indiana university. In addition, students attending Indiana University and Indiana State University will receive priority on the $1,000 scholarships.

Award Amount: One award of $3,000 and two awards of $1,000. All awards are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
