Award Amount: The value of the award is subject to annual state appropriations. HESAA will notify the recipient if the amount of his/her award changes. After classes start, HESAA will send half of the student's total annual award to his/her college/university. This payment is made after HESAA receives confirmation of the student's enrollment. Awards may be renewed if the student meets the following criteria: file a FAFSA and the state grant application by the established state deadlines; enroll at an eligible New Jersey institution and receive payment; demonstrate financial aid (NJEI below 10,500); continue full-time matriculated enrollment; and maintain satisfactory academic progress.
