Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Scholarships are limited in number. They are competitive and are awarded annually on a rolling basis early in the scholarship cycle.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must plan to transfer to Florida Atlantic University.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be an incoming junior transfer student.
  6. Must transfer from a Florida College System institution.
  7. Must attend a college or university in Florida.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. students who are transferring from Florida College System institutions to Florida Atlantic University as juniors. The student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must demonstrate financial need.

Application requirements for the FAU Transfer Educational Achievement Award (TEAA) are:

Additional Information: Applicants for this award must demonstrate financial need. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee a scholarship. Scholarships offered through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are not stackable.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, renewable for up to five semesters or until graduation. This award is paid out in equal installments of $1,500 per semester.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $7,500.

Applications are available online at the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) website. Please note: The student must provide his/her FAU Student ID on the application. The ID is generated upon submission of an admissions application. As part of the online application, the student must write a personal essay on a topic of his/her choice. Applicants for this award must also submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available at www.fafsa.ed.gov and at college financial aid offices. The transfer scholarship application deadline is April 15.
