Additional Information

The Texas Educational Opportunity Grant Program is a state program, administered through the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, established to provide grant aid to financially needy students enrolled in Texas public two-year colleges. In addition to meeting the program requirements, students must: register for the Selective Service or sign a statement of exemption; not be eligible for a TEXAS Grant; and must not have been convicted of a felony or a crime involving a controlled substance. Eligibility for this program is determined by the financial aid office at the student's college. Students must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $4,800 or to be eligible. The EFC is calculated using a federal formula from information provided on the FAFSA. Contact the college financial aid office at a participating institution for additional information.
