State Council of Higher Education for Virginia
The award amount is based on the number of eligible students and the amount of funds available. Award amounts are for up to $3,300 annually for undergraduate study, and up to $1,650 annually for graduate. Awards are renewable provided the student continues to meet eligibility requirements and has not exceeded the maximum number of years of eligibility. Eligibility is limited to two years for associate programs, four years for undergraduate programs, three years for graduate/professional programs, and four years for MD. and Pharm. D programs.
Varies, all on-time applicants will be considered. Approximately 45,000 awards were disbursed in the previous academic year.
The Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant Program (VTAG) is a state program, administered by the commonwealth of Virginia, established to provide financial assistance resident students who attend accredited private, non-profit colleges and universities in Virginia. VTAG is a non-need based grant and is available to both undergraduate and graduate students.
