Additional Information

The Utah Higher Education Success Stipend Program is a state program, created by the Utah Legislature and governed by the Utah Board of Regents, established to bridge the gap between a financially needy student's resources and the cost of attendance at a Utah postsecondary institution. Financially needy student means a student who demonstrates the financial inability (either through the student's parents or family, or personally) to meet all or a portion of the cost of attendance at an institution for any period of attendance as defined by the board, after considering the student's expected family contribution (EFC). Priority is given to the most financially needy students. Financial need is generally determined from information provided on the FAFSA by calculating the students cost of attending college minus the EFC. Students must have a minimum EFC required to qualify for a Federal Pell Grant to be eligible. Each eligible participating institution determines the application procedures, deadlines, eligibility, and award amount. Students should contact the institution for additional details.
