Application requirements for the South Dakota Opportunity Scholarship are:
Award Amount: The award amount is for $6,500 over four years of undergraduate enrollment or until attaining a bachelor's degree. Recipients will receive $1,300 each year for the first three years of attendance. During the recipient's fourth year, he/she will receive $2,600. One half of the scholarship will be distributed at the beginning of the fall semester and at the beginning of the spring semester. Students must maintain consecutive enrollment with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average or higher and complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of instruction per year to continue receiving awards.
The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,500.
