The ACI Pittsburgh Area Chapter was founded in 1962 by a group of dedicated concrete professions led by Art Livingood, Andy Fertal and Bob Zerns. In June of 1988, the Chapter established the Art Livingood Award Fund to financially assist with the educational expenses of local area undergraduate students who have an interest in the areas of cement technology, or concrete technology, design or construction. Today, the award is named to reognize all of the original founders who made the Chapter possible.
