The Rosewood Family Scholarship was created to provide financial assistance to direct descendants of Rosewood families affected by the incidents of January 1923 who attend a Florida state university, public community college or public postsecondary vocational-technical school. Funds for the Rosewood Family Scholarship are contingent each year upon the appropriations made available to the Office of Student Financial Assistance by the Florida Legislature. The postsecondary institution will disburse the scholarship to an eligible student each term after the end of regular registration, inclusive of the drop/add period. Awards are made for the first and second semesters, or the first, second, and third quarters or the equivalent of the regular academic year. Detailed program information and certification forms are available on the OSFA website.
